Real Madrid try to keep their title hopes alive as they travel to Power8 Stadium to face Espanyol in the Spanish La Liga.

Despite being one of the best teams in the world, Real Madrid have endured a very disappointing season so far and winning the La Liga is their last chance of taking home any silverware this season.

They were recently eliminated by Juventus in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals and are four points behind Barcelona for the league title.

In order to keep their hopes alive, they should win their last two matches and hope that their Catalan rivals slip in their last two games to hand over the league title to them.

Their form has also been poor, with a recent draw against Valencia at home, coupled with a loss and a draw against Juventus in their last performances.

Meanwhile, Espanyol are stuck in the middle of the La Liga table as they are ninth in the league, but are only one point behind seventh-seeded Malaga.

They have only lost once in their last 10 league games and recently beat Eibar 2-0.

Sergio Garcia has been excellent for the team this season, leading the club with 13 goals in 33 appearances, while Christian Stuani has been a great striking partner as he has 10 so far.

For Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo continues to be a scoring machine with 42 goals in 33 appearances, while Karim Benzema is second with 15 so far.

In their first meeting, Madrid won 3-0 at the Bernabeau and have dominated Espanyol in their recent meetings, with the last time that Espanyol got a victory being back in 2007.
