'Five Nights at Freddy's Sister Location' updates: new characters, locations teased in new trailer

(scottgames.com)New teaser shows female, pigtailed animatronic.

The new trailer for "Five Nights at Freddy's Sister Location" has been released and it teases the gameplay that players will be able to enjoy once the game comes out. The clip spans for over a minute and starts off with the words "Fear," "Panic," "Dread" and "Terror" flashing across the screen. This is intercut with camera footage of the different eerie animatronics that were previously featured.

Like its predecessors, "Five Nights at Freddy's Sister Location" focuses on first-person gameplay. The video sees the player inside a room with two massive fans spinning on the floor and ceiling. The screen turns to black and then a control room is seen with buttons. The first-person view sees the player going through a vent of some sort, which may be the only thing linking rooms together.

The faces of new animatronic characters are revealed as a chilling rhyme is flashed. "Deep below ground where memories sleep," it begins, "anger is restless and secrets don't keep." The three characters are then shown moving in the back as the camera zooms closer to the silhouette of the fourth animatronic. She is shown to be a doll-like machine. The creepy movement of their facial features offer an unsettling feeling, which is amped up to a frightful jump scare that the "Five Nights at Freddy's" franchise is known for.

It also teases the game's timeline of release. And as the trailer ends, a faint whisper can be heard saying, "You don't know what we've been through."

Unlike the previous "Five Nights at Freddy's" games, it seems as though that this upcoming installment will allow players to move somewhat freely. Past iterations have confined players in a fixed position, which may be changed in "Sister Location."

Despite creator Scott Cawthon's propensity to release his games prior to their announced launch dates, numerous reports say that this may not be the case with "Sister Location." Cawthon will reportedly pour more of his time and effort on the new game and has even denied a closed beta test.

Regardless, fans still patiently await the release of "Five Nights at Freddy's Sister Location."
