'Frozen 2' release date, news: soundtrack causing the delay?

(Facebook/DisneyFrozen)"Frozen 2" is rumored to be further delayed due to the music team's struggles in coming up with soundtracks that will top "Let It Go."

The biggest animated movie of 2013 will be having a sequel, but there seems to be quite some chaos behind the scenes as new rumors have emerged, suggesting that the music team may be having a hard time coming up with the right songs.

As fans know, "Frozen" was a huge hit even two years after it hit big screens mainly due to the beautiful songs featured in the animated film. The sequel will definitely have to do more than just provide a duet for the royalty of Arendelle. The song has to be just as captivating as the award-winning piece by husband-and-wife duo Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, "Let It Go."

Some say it was the most acclaimed song from an animated film and it wouldn't be hard to believe the reports that production for "Frozen 2" is getting further delayed due to the difficulties encountered by the music team in coming up with tunes and lyrics that will hopefully be just as equally grasping or will become way more famous than "Let It Go."

Another issue that's allegedly pushing "Frozen 2" to a 2018 release is the news that Disney is currently busy with two major movies that will come out in 2017. The said films are Emma Watson's "Beauty and the Beast" and Chloe Grace Moretz's "The Little Mermaid."

Meanwhile, it is speculated that in the sequel, Queen Elsa of Arendelle will finally open up to the world about her superpowers. She is also expected to start spending more time with her sister, Princess Anna, as they have a long way to go after their relationship was torn by Elsa's fears in the first installment.

While there have been rumors suggesting that Anna will become an evil sister in "Frozen 2" when she finds out that she's adopted, it's a little impossible that the writers will take this twist into consideration since the franchise has a solid fanbase composed of mainly children.

Disney has yet to announce an official release date for "Frozen 2" but it is highly speculated to arrive sometime late 2018.
