Game of Thrones season 5 has a new trailer out, and it consists of glimpses of what will happen in the anticipated season in a 9-second clip.

Fans are eagerly waiting for the return of HBO's Game of Thrones for its fifth season, and HBO was not entirely generous when it comes to giving teasers for the said season. A short, 9-second clip has been released, and it shows the main characters and their dispositions in the next season.

The teaser opened with a delicate shot of Sansa Stark who looks like she's downtrodden, followed by Tyrion Lannister who seems to be hiding in the shadows. A weirwood tree with a face was also shown, as well as Cersei Lannister who looks like she's lurking behind a mysterious character who's rowing a boat. The boat could be a direct reference to Braavos' Lagoon City.

While other shows are releasing minute-long teasers, HBO set a new trend in releasing extremely short teasers of highly anticipated movies and television shows. The teaser intended for Game of Thrones even had a special feature: it will expire after it has been viewed once by a user. Fortunately for those who want to watch the teaser over and over again, it has been uploaded and posted online by one YouTube user and the post has been viewed for more than 500,000 since its release.

The teaser ended with a phrase that said "This vision has come and gone. Keep watch. More may come."

Fans of the show expressed their excitement and confusion over the trailer when it was reported that the link did not work for a while.

"@GameOfThrones #TheSight link won't work :( why do you tease me," posted one user named @CaoimheDuggan3.

Aside from the teaser, the official Twitter account of Game of Thrones released a cryptic statement for the show's fans that said "A raven will bring you a new vision soon. Thank you for keeping watch."

Game of Thrones season 5 will air in spring 2015.
