'Game of Thrones' season 7 release date, spoilers: Sophie Turner teases Sansa Stark's 'power trip' next season

(HBO)Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) is the oldest living and legitimate child of the late Lord of Winterfell and warden of the North, Eddard Stark (Sean Bean).

A lot of vital and specific bits of information about "Game of Thrones" season 7 have been untimely spilled online, and Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark, might have just shed a tiny ray of light on some of the leaked plots.

Sansa is the oldest Stark daughter in the phenomenal fantasy HBO series "Game of Thrones." She is one of the most transformed characters in the past six seasons. From a little girl who believes in happy endings, she's now become a woman who's learned how to play the complicated and deceitful 'game of thrones.'

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Turner graciously hinted that Sansa will love having the power that she has been deprived of since the first season. The British actress said: "She's seemingly in control for the first time – and it really suits her. She's kind of having a bit of a power trip. But she's also becoming more insecure, because there are threats to the power that she holds."

Her subtle spoiler actually supports earlier reported theories that there will be some bad blood developing between Sansa and her younger sister Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) as they will have different views on how to lead Winterfell and the North.

Fans can recall that if it wasn't for her secret alliance with Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish (Aidan Gillen), they would not have won the battle against the Boltons to gain back Winterfell.

However, Sansa has always known that Littlefinger's help comes with a price. By the end of season 6, she can be seen defying that by ignoring Littlefinger's proposition of marriage. They will subsequently lead the North together until they pursue the Iron Throne.

Turner also said in the EW interview, "What overall excites me about this season is that main characters are coming together and it feels like things are ramping up." It actually complements the appearance of several leaked photos showing major characters filming together in one location for the same scenes.

"Game of Thrones" season 7 will have seven episodes instead of the usual 10 and is expected to premiere in summer of 2017.
