'GTA 6' release date update: next game will deviate from the original

(Official website)GTA 6 could only arrive to refresh GTA 5 in 2018

The latest updates regarding "Grand Theft Auto 6" reveal that its gameplay could slightly deviate from the original. This time, fans might see more driving stunts rather than real-life driving adventures.

It can be remembered that "Grand Theft Auto 5" had elements of real-life driving simulations, which were a hit among gamers. However, in a recent poll conducted independently among fans, it was revealed that they are hoping to see the cars do more stunts. In the previous game, GTA 5, the supercars had the ability to do off-road driving as well as climb mountainsides. Fans also suggested equipping the supercars with the ability to do wheel spins.

Aside from the different gameplay, there were also rumors that GTA 6 would have new female and male lead characters and that real-life partners Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling were being tapped by the GTA game makers to lend them their voices.

Regarding the location of the new GTA game, many are guessing and even suggesting that Rockstar develop a Tokyo-based GTA franchise. However, the game developer said that the idea of using Tokyo is somewhat impossible to do because the road system in the Japanese capital is complicated.

Meanwhile, there are also other rumors that GTA 6 will have a larger map and that it will be a combination of all maps from the first GTA game to the previously released GTA 5. This is said to be one of the causes for the game's delay.

According to Game N Guide, Rockstar Games president Leslie Benzies mentioned in an earlier interview that they were planning to put all the previous GTA maps in the next game.

As for its release date, recent updates say that if everything goes according to plan, Rockstar might be able to release GTA 6 between 2018 and 2020 on possibly the PlayStation 5 and Xbox 2.

However, all of these remain mere speculations since no official statements have been issued yet.
