'Grand Theft Auto V' news: July 8 sees arrival of free DLC

(Rockstar Wire)Ill-Gotten Games Part 2 DLC to be released by July 8

Late in June, fans have noticed that the recently released "GTA V: Ill-Gotten Gains" DLC included a non-playable new mode called the stunt race. The additional feature has sent gamers into a frenzy speculating that because the mode is already in place, part two of Ill-Gotten Gains should not be far off. Thankfully for fans, their assumptions were spot on.

Last June 30, 2015, an official announcement was released on Rockstar's official website. The post detailed what can be expected from the new content and said:

"The second haul of high-end goods currently en route to Los Santos' luxury shops and dealerships. We're pleased to announce that the Ill-Gotten Gains Update: Part Two will arrive for all platforms next week, on Wednesday July 8th. This new collection of extravagant attire and potent transportation also includes the debut of the previously PC-exclusive "The Lab" radio station across all four console platforms."

Like Part 1 of the Ill-Gotten Gains DLC, the update would introduce new expensive items, which reportedly would include six new vehicles (SUV Coil Brawler, the Lampadati Toro speedboat, the Progen T20 supercar, the Vapid Chino, the Dinka Vindicator superbike and Invetro Coquette BlackFin), two new weapons (engraved Marksman Pistol and Knuckledusters) and a wider variety of clothing options.

While news of the new toys is exciting enough, it seems like the game development company wants to spoil their fans further by announcing an accompanying event for the release of "GTA V: Ill-Gotten Games Part 2."

In the same website update, Rockstar has stated that the introduction of the expansion pack would go alongside a second social club event for the DLC title. The event is scheduled for July 10 and so far, there have been no announcements as to what it would entail.

"GTA V: Ill-Gotten Gains Part two" DLC would be available for free download come July 8, 2015.
