Many fans of the "Grand Theft Auto" franchise are still hoping that there will be new details regarding its sixth installment. There is still no official information from Rockstar Games concerning "Grand Theft Auto VI" and maybe its development is taking a while since the creators might include new special features.

Since there have been no official updates yet from the developers, some fans are starting to have doubts that the latest installment will still push through. However, there are also fans who think otherwise and believe that the lack of information might be a good thing since this could mean that the developer is incorporating a distinct feature in the upcoming game. There are also rumors that Rockstar Games might have stopped production altogether since there's no budget for it.

Furthermore, there are speculations that "Grand Theft Auto VI" may feature virtual reality (VR) or augmented reality (AR) technology and this may be the reason why the launching of the title is taking long. If fans continue to be patient with its development, the wait will surely be worth it if it will include AR or VR. In addition, this will be a total game changer for the franchise as it will be taken to new heights.

The game's predecessor, "Grand Theft Auto V," can still offer a lot to gamers especially with its online mode. It seems that the developers may be making the most out of it before they transition to the latest title. Moreover, they still continually give updates for "GTA V" by adding new content such as cars, weapons and modes.

Prioritizing the release of "Red Dead Redemption 2" may also be one of the reasons why they are purposely delaying the game since the former is due in 2017. As of now, what most fans can do is wait since it is rumored that the launch date of "Grand Theft Auto VI" could be on 2020.
