With Sandra Oh's exit in the long-running ABC drama, it's no surprise that the creators of the show might decide to include a new character in Grey's Anatomy.

Dr. Christina Yang, along with Tessa Ferrer and Gaius Charles, will not be returning for the next season of Grey's Anatomy, but there is a new cast member in town. 29-year-old rookie actor Robert McHallfey, is rumored to join the cast led by Ellen Pompeo (Meridith Grey) in the show's 11th season.

In an interview with Los Angeles times, McHallfey shares that he struggled during the first years of his acting career, but his determination made him continue his dream.

"They say it takes 10 years to break into this business. I'm not giving up," says the dark-haired actor, as reported by the Los Angeles Times. McHallfey continued to describe his experience when he auditioned for the show, and thought for a while that he might not get the part.

"I had an audition for 'Grey's Anatomy' two months ago. Regardless if I get the part, I was in the room. They know who I am. It's the little victories," shared McHallfey in the same Los Angeles Times post. McHallfey's persistence will soon pay off, as he is rumored to be casted in a popular series with some of the biggest names in television.

Season 11 of Grey's Anatomy is set to drop on September later this year. The season will be split into two parts, just like how the last season was presented.
