Meredith looks back to the past when a former patient reappears while April and Jackson and Alex and Jo continue to work out their future in an all-new episode of "Grey's Anatomy."

In the upcoming episode titled "My Next Life," Meredith's first patient as an intern, Katie Bryce, is readmitted to the hospital after suffering a new aneurysm. Back in season 1, Derek Shepherd had asked for his interns' help in diagnosing Katie's mysterious condition. Meredith had worked with Cristina in finding out the root of Katie's seizures. The reappearance of Katie will definitely have Meredith reminiscing on the past. Unfortunately, since Derek's death, Katie's case will be taken on by Amelia.

Meanwhile, viewers will get to learn more about April's bombshell revelation and the status of her relationship with Jackson in the forthcoming episode. After signing divorce papers in "Unbreak My Heart," April revealed that she was pregnant.

In the promo, Arizona tries to convince April to tell Jackson about the pregnancy. However, it seems that April does not feel inclined to do so.

Sarah Drew, who plays April, also revealed that the pregnancy will be a shining light for April, after everything that she has been through with the divorce.

"The biggest thing that changes her going forward is the fact that she's pregnant. For her, that new life that's growing inside of her is sort of her great gift and her great hope and joy in the midst of this pain. She's not going to let herself wallow in pain because she has this great joy and great gift and great love that she needs to focus on now. That kind of saves her in this moment," Drew told Variety.

Jackson has yet to discover the pregnancy and viewers can expect a lot of this story's development to play out in the next few episodes.

"Grey's Anatomy" will also touch upon the future of couple Alex and Jo. In the upcoming episode, Jo discovers that Alex still has the engagement ring hidden in his cabinet. Jo asks Alex about the ring and what his plans for the ring are.

"Are you going to take it back? It was probably expensive and it's not doing anyone any good in your drawer," Jo tells Alex.

Alex takes Jo's words as possibly saying no to his proposal. He once again asks Jo for a direct answer and Jo, again, finds it difficult to give a response.

Also in the episode, things continue to heat up between Maggie and Andrew. However, Andrew freaks out after discovering that Richard Webber is Maggie's father.
