When ABC's hit medical drama TV series "Grey's Anatomy" returns, viewers will finally be introduced to Jackson Avery's (Jesse Williams) father.

For the uninitiated, the Avery family are very renowned in the field of medicine. And since Jackson was introduced to the show, viewers have seen his mother Catherine Avery (Debbie Allen) and his grandfather Harper Avery (Chelcie Ross), but never his father. To note, Williams joined "Grey's Anatomy" in season 6, and, so far, little is known about his character's biological father.

Entertainment Weekly got the latest information from Sarah Drew, who portrays April Kepner, Williams' wife and baby mama on the show.

"We are going to meet Jackson's father," Drew revealed. The details about the missing father, however, were not teased. The actor who is going to play the role and the background of the character are still being kept secret.

On the other hand, the actress teased that the second half of the current season will show another episode highlighting the relationship between the first-time parents. Both of the characters will be traveling to Montana for a case.

"They're going through something pretty big. They don't start off in the best place when we find them on the journey," she revealed. This episode was directed by Kevin McKidd, and it will air sometime in March.

Meanwhile, Camilla Luddington, who portrays Jo Wilson on the series, is now very pregnant. Viewers, however, shouldn't expect this to manifest on the show. And as what she describes, she is now already in trouble in terms of the production for the ongoing series. According to the actress, the team might have to use green screen or CGI to remove her growing bump.

As for her character and Alex Karev's (Justin Chambers) relationship, the actress can only hope for the best. She is admittedly a big fan of the pair. She says that the episodes to come will be a dramatic return for both the characters.

"Grey's Anatomy" season 13 returns on Thursday, Jan. 26, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
