'Grimm' season 5 finale spoilers: shocking ending

(NBC / Scott Green)Nick is determined to get his son back, but the battle will not be easy as Black Claw's plans are falling into place.

Episodes 21 and 22 of "Grimm" will serve as season 5's two-part finale titled "The Beginning of the End: Part One" and "The Beginning of the End: Part Two," respectively. Intense scenes are expected as Black Claw's plans are coming together.

The trailer narration teases, "It's the 'Grimm' two-hour season finale … and its ending is so shocking … that we can't show you anything from the second half."

It was definitely a bad night for Nick when the previous episode ended with Nick watching the live telecast of Renard's victory. He sees Adalind and their baby, Kelly, joining Renard on stage with Diana pretending to be a whole and happy family.

Hank finally discovered that Zuri is using him for information while she works with Black Claw. After a confrontation, he knocks her down when she attacks him. Zuri regains consciousness and finds herself in the hands of Hadrian's Wall. She is up for questioning the Hexenbiest-way courtesy of Eve. However, her whereabouts are known to Black Claw so she could be saved or killed before revealing anything.

Meanwhile, it looks like Hank will be one of the enemy's immediate targets when the finale starts. With a new mayor, changes have also shifted to wesens dominating police department posts. Nick and his allies are outnumbered and overpowered by the enemies. The trailer further teases of a storyline around the idiom "all is fair in love and war."

Diana uses her power to bring her parents, Adalind and Renard, together. She is shown holding doll-like figures of them as she controls them to be intimate toward each other. The leader of the Black Claw is shown demonstrating his power. Similar to Midas' touch, his touch turns Adalind into stone. A fight between Nick and Renard in his office is also in sight.

Has Renard completely turned into the bad side? Will Adalind find a way to save herself and her children from Black Claw? Will Nick and his allies have a fighting chance against the army of evil?
