While it's true that Nathan Fillion was part of the first "Guardians of the Galaxy," he will be joining the sequel of the said movie portraying a different role: Simon Williams, who, to avid Marvel fans, is known as Wonder Man.

According to Comic Book, it is likely for Fillion to play a cameo in "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" as photos taken on the set of the said movie leaked online suggest so. Apart from hinting that some of the scenes in "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" will feature Earth, it also reveals what role Fillion will be playing in the movie: an actor named Simon Williams.

The said photos suggest that some scenes in "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" will be featuring a Simon Williams Festival, wherein some of the movies of the fictional actor are screened. What's interesting to note is that one movie poster of a Simon Williams film is about the biography of Tony Stark, who, in the movies, is played by Robert Downey Jr. and is known as Iron Man.

With the said photo, it is now speculated that Simon Williams will take revenge on Tony Stark, who, in the Marvel comic books, caused the downfall of his business. In the print incarnation of the character, Simon Williams became Wonder Man and was a villain at first who even trapped the Avengers but changed his mind the last minute.

It is suspected that as Simon Williams is an actor who plays the role of Tony Stark, there is a possibility for him to get close with Tony Stark to familiarize himself with the character he'll play in the biopic. Allegedly, he will use this opportunity to avenge his downfall. 

However, Comic Book opines that the said posters are nothing more than Easter eggs for "Guardians of the Galaxy 2," and fans should not expect Wonder Man to show up and unleash his power in the said movie.
