In the last episode, viewers witnessed detectives McGarrett and Danny attend a couples' retreat in Maui since they had been having some partnership issues. The upcoming episode, however, would probably be more like a sitcom than a police procedural drama series since famous comedienne-actress Carol Burnett will be guest starring as detective McGarrett's Aunt Deb in the show. She will be accompanied by "Orange is the New Black" star Taryn Manning as McGarrett's sister, Mary Ann.

Episode 12 is entitled "Ua ola loko i ke aloha," which means "Love gives life within" in English. The episode's synopsis reads, "While McGarrett's Aunt Deb visits Oahu on a special personal mission, Five-0 must uncover who stole unstable Japanese WWII bombs left hidden on the island."

Showrunner Peter Lenkov has revealed that this coming episode could signal the closure of Aunt Deb's character in the show, according to Entertainment Weekly. In the story, Aunt Deb and her husband were diagnosed with cancer and she is left battling the illness. As reports have stated, Aunt Deb's personal mission, as described in the synopsis, is to grant her and her husband's wishes before they pass. She visits Hawaii for the last time to do the last thing on the bucket list made by the couple. She will scatter the ashes of her husband in the beautiful island of Hawaii.

It's not just drama that viewers will get a taste of in the next episode. The latest trailer released for the upcoming episode shows Aunt Deb asking to take Steve's car for a spin. The next scene shows her happily driving the car, thoroughly enjoying the ride as she shouts in joy. Despite the subject matter they'll be dealing with, the next episode seems like it's going to be very lively and positive.

Fans can find out how the story will unfold if they tune in to the next episode of "Hawaii Five-0" on CBS next Friday, Jan. 15, 9 p.m. ET.
