Love is said to be the theme that "Hawaii Five-0" season 6 will revolve around, with the showrunners promising fans that the series will delve into each character's love life. This certainly seems true for Steve McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) as he prepares to propose to Catherine Rollins (Michelle Borth) and fans are hoping that it will happen in the third episode. 

The Five-0 team had another sizzling case last episode, "Lehu a Lehu" (Ashes to Ashes), when they had to stop one alleged ally of Jason Sinclair (Randy Couture), the arsonist they put away last season. 

But amidst the stress of trying to stop the criminals from detonating the explosive devices they set in various populated areas in Hawaii, Danny (Scott Caan) and Steve had another one of their vaunted "carguments" where they talked about McGarrett's impending proposal. 

And in true McGarrett fashion, the commander told his partner that he has already "secured a ring" and "reconed a location." Now all that's left is for the former Navy Seal to execute his plan. Still photos from the episode also show McGarrett giving Grover (Chi McBride) a glimpse of the engagement ring. 

But despite the showrunners' admission that love is this season's theme, fans are skeptical about the McRollins love story having a happy ending. After all, Kono (Grace Park) and Adam (Ian Anthony Dale) got married but they haven't gotten their happy ending yet, especially now that Gabriel has stolen Adam's assets. 

There's also the rumor that Borth's character will stay only until episode 3 and that McGarrett will have another love interest later on in the season. Based on what "Hawaii Five-0" executive producer Peter Lenkov previously said to EW, Sarah Carter will be portraying a character named Lynn, "a nature lover with whom McGarrett goes on a wild adventure" with. 

The synopsis for the third episode of "Hawaii Five-0" season 6 doesn't reveal much about the Five-0 leader's proposal as it just states that the team will be investigating a scuba diver's death and that McGarrett is preparing to propose to Catherine. But it does state that Danny's nephew Eric (Andrew Lawrence) will return in this episode.

Fans will undoubtedly tune in to watch the next episode of "Hawaii Five-0" on Oct. 9 to see how things will go down.
