Red carpet interviews are a staple for stars attending an awards show, and the 66^th Primetime Emmys 2014 proved to be interesting for one celebrity in particular, Hayden Panettiere.

The 'Nashville' star appeared in a low cut Lorena Sarbu silver dress,with her baby bump, and spoke to E! News' Giuliana Rancic as she passed by the red carpet.

"I can't wait for her to come out, little one," said the Nashville star to Rancic.

Rancic immediately asked Panettiere if she's expecting a girl, since the star used the preposition "her."

"I think I just said that, didn't I?," said Panettiere, as if being surprised that the gender slipped accidentally from her during the interview.

"Yes, it's a little girl," said Panettiere.

Panettiere is engaged to boxer, Wladimir Klitschko. Klitschko and Panettiere have been engaged for some time, and their wedding plans are delayed due to some political unrest in Ukraine. Klitschko's brother is the mayor of Kiev, Ukraine's capital and largest city.

Panettiere said that it is vital for her to know the gender of the child in advance, since she is the type to shop for her child personally.

"I like to shop, girl, I want to go shopping for my girl. I want to paint the room appropriately," said Panettiere, as reported by LA Times.

The actress revealed to Entertainment Weekly that she is to give birth on December.
