While fans await for the return of "Homeland," reports have surfaced indicating what viewers should look out for in the upcoming fifth season.

According to the Wrap, Claire Danes' character, Carrie, will be dealing with a whole new enemy in the form of Max Beesley. Beesley is set to play Mike Brown, a former Royal Marine, who would be finding it hard to take orders from a woman. Brown would be one of the many private security contractors being handled by Carrie.

The Vine Report also reported that the show will be taking place two years after season four's finale, titled "Separation Anxiety." The first photos show Carrie, both as a mother to Franny, as well as being the leader of the security firm.

Along with Mike Brown, Carrie has to deal with her former colleague Saul Berenson, played by Mandy Patinkin, who now sees Carrie as a traitor.

The new photos also see Quinn, who fans remember going off the grid in the fourth season. This season shows him working alongside Berenson. Vine Report also stated that the show has also released a photo of him fixing a bomb, as a yet unknown man is tied to a chair, possibly his victim.

Rupert Friend recently talked to E! Online about Quinn and Berenson's relationship and said, "There is no one on this planet that Saul would put more trust and faith in, than Peter Quinn, it's a bond that no one else can know about. I think at this point that suits Quinn very well."

The actor also teased about the upcoming season, saying that Quinn will be venturing to the deepest and darkest part of Syria.

Fans will definitely have a lot to look forward to as the new season of "Homeland" is set to premiere on Oct. 4 on Showtime.
