Things turned sour quickly for the people behind TLC's 'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo' season 4 which was recently cancelled by the network. The reality television program features a family that pushes their youngest, Alana Thompson, in joining beauty pageants intended for children.

The network's decision came immediately after photos of Mama June cuddling with Mark McDaniel, the apparent child molester, surfaced online.

TLC believes that this incident could put her daughters in grave danger and public ridicule.

"TLC has cancelled the series Here Comes Honey Boo Boo and ended all activities around the series, effective immediately," said the network, in a statement released to USA Today.

"Supporting the health and welfare of these remarkable children is our only priority. TLC is faithfully committed to the children's ongoing comfort and well-being," the channel said

Mama June went on to defend herself, using Alana Thompson's Facebook.

She reminded everyone to not trust all rumors that are published by tabloids, which make money out of fabricating false stories about celebrities.

The mother of four also stressed that her children remain on top of her priorities, and that she will not do anything that would inflict harm to them.

It has been reported that Mama June dated McDaniel over 10 years ago, and there is a possibility that the two are rekindling an old romance.
