'How To Get Away With Murder' season 3 premiere spoilers: Bonnie chooses between Annalise and Frank

Bonnie (Liza Weil) will have to decide to whom she owes her loyalty in the third season of the ABC hit series "How to Get Away with Murder."

During the last installment's finale, the law assistant told Annalise (Viola Davis) that it was Frank (Charlie Weber) who was responsible for her child's death. After all these years of keeping the terrible secret, Bonnie felt it was time for the lawyer to know what truly happened to the baby. Annalise was devastated and clearly livid at Frank. She told Bonnie they have to get rid of him, but when they searched for him, he was already gone.

Even Frank's on-again off-again girlfriend Laurel (Karla Souza) did not know where he went. He was not in his apartment. It looked like he has been on the move, probably suspecting that Bonnie has already ratted on him. In season 3, executive producer Pete Nowalk told Variety that if Frank does return, he would be harboring a grudge against Bonnie for her treachery.

"Bonnie is going to have to chose sides basically. Bonnie is like, Annalise, we can forgive Frank, it was Sam's fault! She's trying to be the peacemaker. And Annalise is like, hell no! Bonnie is basically going to have to chose a side in this war and I don't know which one she'll chose. Within that, there's also the mystery of how did Bonnie and Annalise first met and who is Bonnie most loyal to," he said.

Weil's character has so far been depicted as extremely loyal to Annalise. It was her who took care of the lawyer when she was still recuperating from her bullet wound last season. Their relationship is built on trust and respect, but there were still times when one could not be sure about Bonnie. She has also been fiercely protective of her friends. By telling Annalise the truth, has Bonnie chosen which side she is on?

"How to Get Away with Murder" season 3 is expected to return this fall on ABC.
