It is almost a year since Apple unveiled the iPad Mini 4, its latest iteration of the iPad series. However, fans and users are wondering what the tech giant can offer to up its game for the iPad Mini 5. Here is a roundup of details regarding the upcoming device.

For the design of the iPad Mini 5, there are rumors that it will most likely resemble its predecessor but thinner, which could measure to 55 mm thick. However, Apple may apply some changes like a more durable aluminum body case. As for its color, it may also come with the Rose Gold variant since the latest models of iPhones are already sporting the said color. It may even sport a 3D Touch, similar to that of the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus.

Other features that the iPad Mini 5 will also be boasting of could be its capability to be waterproof and dust-resistant. It will even come out with a pre-installed iOS 10 to make sure that it runs perfect with its processors under the hood. The iOS 10 is said to introduce new features such as the Dark Mode, which has to do with changing the default white background to dark.

As for its built-in camera, Apple is known to not prioritize the camera quality in their iPads, since this is not the device's main purpose. The Cupertino-based company may put an 8-megapixel rear camera and 1.2-megapixel front camera.

However, the Apple's target consumers for the iPad lines are the professionals and businessmen, and the tablet will most likely boost its processor from the predecessor's A8 to the A9 chip. So, consumers can expect an improvement from its speed and graphics. Apple may even phase out the 16 GB models and will sell it for 32 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB variants only.

Apple remains tight lipped about the launching and release of the iPad Mini 5, but there are reports saying that it may be introduced in September this year.
