News about Eminem's new album for 2016 has been making the rounds for quite some time yet no official announcement has been made. As the third quarter of the year approaches, some are beginning to wonder if there is indeed truth to it.

It has been three years since Marshall Mathers, more popularly known as Eminem, has released an album. And while he is busy with charity works and producing for other talents, his fans hope for the artist to step back into the limelight once again.

Rumors of the upcoming album have been making the rounds for months now and fans must have wanted to hear him rap once again that even controversies that do not directly involve him are believed to create hype for the so-called upcoming album.

Perhaps to end the rumors saying he is at odds with artist Drake, Eminem made a surprise appearance during the former's concert stop in Detroit. The two shared the stage together and even spoke kind words about each other. Their gesture was far from rumors stating Eminem's upcoming album is out to "squash" Drake.

While it may have stopped rumors about their feud, seeing him on stage created another speculation that he is slowly making his way back to the limelight. For now, it would be best to just wait for official or surprise announcements regarding his alleged new 2016 album.

One real update about Eminem is a court case involving his song "Lose Yourself." According to Stuff, the artist's publishers have filed against the National Party for using a track similar to the said song. The song was allegedly used on the party's 2014 rowing-themed campaign song. Eight Mile Style claims a copyright for the song and a May 2017 court date have been set.

Will Eminem really release an album in 2016? With a little more than three months to go, only time will tell.
