Jeremy Lin news: Brooklyn Nets point guard is in good condition but no timetable of return yet

The Brooklyn Nets main point guard, Jeremy Lin, has once again been sidelined due to another hamstring injury. While the team's management tells fans that Lin is in good condition, they still refuse to give a timetable on when he will return to the court.

Lin missed the Nets' games against the Chicago Bulls and the Washington Wizards following a bout with a new hamstring injury that was sustained during their previous game against the Charlotte Hornets. The injury happened only two weeks after Lin got back to the game so it is understandable that fans are getting a little anxious and concerned for the NBA star as his performance gets repeatedly affected by his injuries.

On a better note, the New York Post's NBA and Brooklyn Nets reporter, Brian Lewis, revealed through his Twitter page last Dec. 28, 2016 that though Lin was not currently with the team, he was still in "good spirits." Lewis also added that Lin's current hamstring injury is in another part of his body and not a recurring one, as confirmed by Brooklyn Nets' general manager, Sean Marks.

Though it is uncertain when fans will see Lin again, Lewis said in another tweet that the Brooklyn Nets point guard's injury is "not as severe as the last one."

Marks updated the New York Post on Lin's condition, saying: "He was evaluated [on Dec. 28] by our doctors and some other sources on what's going on with him. It is a left hamstring strain, a different area to the first one, so it is not the same injury. They're not linked. We will not give a timeline simply because you never know. Every player's different. Some guys recover quicker than others."

It can be recalled that after Lin sustained his first hamstring injury for the season last Nov. 2 in a game against the Detroit Pistons, he missed up to 17 games. Now, noting that Lin's injury is not as bad as the last one, fans can only hope that he will not be gone for too long.
