Following Jeremy Lin's travails with the previous teams he landed on over the past years, Mike D'Antoni has spoken up about what exactly happened during the NBA star's "Linsanity" days and why he wasn't able to bounce back after his fame and glory.

In a recent podcast interview with The Vertical, D'Antoni, who saw Lin's success and fall with the New York Knicks, gave some insights about what he thinks went wrong in the Asian player's gameplay.

According to The Christian Times, D'Antoni said there were two NBA players involved in Lin's fall. As fans know, "Linsanity" sparked massive support and praise, not only from fans around the world but also from experts and analysts. It turns out that not all of Lin's Knicks team mates back then were happy about his success.

Although they weren't named in the podcast, Carmelo Anthony and Amar'e Stoudemire reportedly didn't want to adjust to Lin's gameplay, and for D'Antoni, this was the problem that led to his former player's fall. Lin also had his own game and the three just couldn't seem to make their game work.

D'Antoni explains: "It was there, it's real. The problem that we had was that for Jeremy to be really good, which he was, he had to play a certain way. It was hard for him to adapt."

Meanwhile, Lin seems to be enjoying his new team, the Brooklyn Nets. Aside from signing a three-year $36 million contract with them, he is also reuniting with Kenny Atkinson, the coach who Lin says has helped boost his career and confidence.

The reunion is deemed by many as a match made in heaven since Atkinson knows Lin very well and there is a huge chance their duo will make everything work this time for the former L.A. Lakers star to once again take the spotlight.

In a recent Snapchat post, Lin toured his fans around the HSS Training Center. "That is quite nice with the view," he said as he panned the camera around the facility.

Lin apparently has started his training for the 2016-2017 NBA season and fans will have to see if his reunion with Atkinson will indeed do well for his shaky records over the past few years.
