It has been a little rough for the Duggar family these past few years, but things are looking up every day—especially for one member of the clan. It has been revealed that Jinger Duggar is being courted by soccer player Jeremy Vuolo.

In a video released on TLC's website, the couple announced they are "officially courting." The 28-year-old Vuolo proceeded to explain what that meant.

"As opposed to a more casual dating relationship, we really want to honor the Lord, and be very intentional about how we move forward," he said.

Jinger then recalled how she met Vuolo. "I met Jeremy last May and then we had the opportunity to go on a mission trip together," she recounts. "It was there that I really saw his heart and admired his character." Vuolo had then contacted her father to get his blessing.

Jinger has appeared on TLC's reality show "Jill and Jessa: Counting On," which mainly focuses on the lives of two Duggar sister, Jill and Jessa—along with their respective husbands, and their journey into motherhood.

Hailing from Downington, Pennsylvania, Vuolo is a professional soccer player who last played for the San Antonio Scorpions. He is also an ordained pastor. It is widely expected that Jinger and Vuolo will appear on the reality series. The couple's relationship will certainly be an interesting story to watch. And if everything goes accordingly, fans won't be surprised to hear wedding bells ringing for another Duggar sister.

More recently, controversy struck when Vuolo and Jinger went out on a date with the latter's parents. According to Raw Story, after grabbing some sweet treats at the Sweet Loring Frozen Yogurt shop in Laredo, Texas, the establishment shared a photo of the two couples on social media. The shop then experienced criticisms from its followers for associating with the Duggar family. The post has since been removed.

TLC has yet to announce when "Jill and Jessa: Counting On" will return.
