'Jurassic World 2' spoilers: more human and dinosaur interactions

(Facebook / Jurassic Park)Director J.A. Bayona will put his own spin to the popular film franchise as he takes over "Jurassic World 2."

The film "Jurassic World" has made such a great impact last year that moviegoers cannot wait for its sequel to be shown in 2018. Little details have been shared about the upcoming movie, but interviews done with the people involved may have revealed dinosaurs will be in the city.

During a podcast interview, co-writer and director of the first movie Colin Trevorrow has shared that the plot for "Jurassic World 2" was already planned during the making of the first film. He said, "It was part of this design, it had a beginning, middle and end when we wrote the first movie. Now that the (first) movie did well, we get to play that out." It is also believed that the movie will no longer take place in an isolated island but in a highly populated urban setting.

Trevorrow will continue his involvement in the development of the sequel but at a much lesser scale. He will continue to co-write, but it will be director Juan Antonio Bayona who will be in charge of the movie. The change is brought about by Trevorrow's commitment to another popular franchise, "Star Wars: Episode 9."

How the dinosaurs reach the city can be traced back to the scene where Dr. Wong escapes with hybrid embryos. The development of the embryos are said to point to a more domestic setting. Some rumors go as far as saying dinosaurs will be considered pets when the sequel is shown, while other reports claim dinosaurs will be used in military purposes.

These reports have stemmed from Trevorrow's statement about humans and dinosaurs living together. In a roundtable interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Universal Pictures chairwoman Donna Langley has revealed that Trevorrow has been working with "Jurassic" franchise creator Steven Spielberg. She said, "They have an idea for the next two movies actually. It was designed as a trilogy, unbeknown to us. It's a happy surprise."

Looks like the dinosaurs will be around for at least two more installments. "Jurassic World 2" is scheduled to hit theaters on June 22, 2018.
