'Jurassic World 2' spoilers, news: Cast shares production update

The upcoming sequel to the science fiction adventure film "Jurassic World," which is going to be the fifth installment in the "Jurassic Park" film series, is nowhere near completion. But actor Chris Pratt, recently reminded fans that the film is in production.

Pratt took to Instagram to share a photo of a T-Rex skull. It is unclear if the piece is real or merely a prop for the upcoming movie, but it is good enough to excite "Jurassic Park" fans about what is to come. Most likely, Pratt's photo is from the set of "Jurassic World 2." The T-Rex skull is in the foreground, and seems to be photographed for the film.

The actor, however, did not share any concrete details about the upcoming film, aside from it involving a T-Rex skull. Along with the photo, the actor joked about how fans thought he has lost weight. He wrote, "So many people have said I look too thin in my recent episodes of #WHATSMYSNACK. Some have gone as far as to say I look 'skeletal." Thus, he said it was necessary for him to prove that he is not as skinny as people think he is.

"Body shaming hurts. So to prove my security in the way I look I'm posting a current selfie of me at what I consider a very healthy weight. 500lbs. Zero percent body fat," he added. Although fans pretty much understood that he was not in the photo, he still went on and explained that it was a T-Rex skull.

Pratt's Instagram photo might have not revealed any significant information about the upcoming movie, but it does confirm one thing: Production for "Jurassic World 2" is currently ongoing.

Right after Pratt shared the photo, his co-star Bryce Dallas Howard took to Twitter to confirm that they are currently working on the sequel. According to the actress, the set photo shared by Pratt was Day 18 of the production for the film.

"Jurassic World 2" is slated to air on June 22, 2018.
