'Justice League' movie cast news: Ezra Miller playing The Flash, Jason Momoa as Aquaman

'The Perks of Being A Wallflower' star, Ezra Miller, has been picked by DC to play comic book legend The Flash on the cast of the upcoming 'Justice League' movie.

The announcement stating confirmation of the Justice League movie was made by Kevin Tsujihara, CEO of Warner Bros, on Oct. 15. Justice League is expected to hit theatres with a release date sometime in 2017.

'Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice' director Zack Snyder will helm the Justice League movie project, with a sequel planned for 2019. Likewise, the Justice League cast will also feature Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, and Henry Cavill as Superman.

Ezra Miller will join the star-studded cast as The Flash, while 'Game of Thrones' star, Jason Momoa, has been billed to play Aquaman.

A standalone 'Aquaman' movie has been scheduled for a 2018 release. Ezra Miller has also been scheduled to have his own 'The Flash' standalone movie with a 2018 release date.

Meanwhile, Gal Gadot will continue to enjoy her 'Wonder Woman' fame with her own standalone movie to be released in 2017.

The highly anticipated 'Suicide Squad' will be directed by David Ayer, with a scheduled 2016 release. Tsujihara described Suicide Squad as a "gritty story of a team of supervillains who take on black ops mission for the US government," and is expected to feature four A-list celebrities on its bill.
