Even as speculations about the release date of "Kingdom Hearts 3" continue to grow, there have been rumblings that the game has been delayed. The latest news pertaining to the release date came from a voice actor connected to it, and the input that he provided did not turn out to be very encouraging to fans.

News about the release date of "Kingdom Hearts 3" arrived when voice actor Quinton Flynn mentioned on his Twitter account that he had not been contacted about the game. He made this revelation when he was responding to questions that were posed to him on a Twitter Q&A session. Flynn has been associated with previous games in the franchise and is expected to provide the voice for the character Axel.

However, a big issue surrounds the observation that even though "Kingdom Hearts 3" has been in development for several years now, no work has been done on the voices of the characters. This could indicate that the game is still a while away from being complete, and even though concepts were formed in 2006, the changes that were introduced since then may have caused more delays. This could be one reason Flynn stated on this Twitter feed that the developer of the game, Square Enix, needs to step up its development.

Meanwhile, actors who voice other characters in the game have been reporting that they have been contacted, including Jim Cummings. Cummings importantly voices the characters of Winnie the Pooh and also Tigger. Dialogue for the game is usually recorded last, and this is why many industry analysts have been closely watching the voice actors who have been associated with the game in the past. The last official news about the game arrived during Japan D23 when footage from it was showcased. At that time, it was stated that the footage was actually part of what did not make the cut for the E3 2015 trailer. That said, the upcoming E3 2016 conference could bring more news about the game and even a release date, which right now many industry analysts think will be set in 2017.
