'Kingdom Hearts 3' release date news and updates: Sora's new form revealed

(Kingdom Hearts website)"Kingdom Hearts 3" has been anticipated since its development was first announced in 2013. The game will be released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles and will feature moe Disney characters.

Even though Square Enix, the producers of the top role-playing game (RPG) series "Kingdom Hearts," are still adamant about revealing any official details regarding the game's sequel, "Kingdom Hearts 3," the developers still can't help but tease the fans a bit with some awesome updates. Just recently, the official twitter account of Square Enix unveiled a massive upgrade to Sora's new form and keyblade.

Square Enix's latest teaser involved a tweet featuring an in-game screenshot for "Kingdom Hearts 3," with the focus on Sora's new Guard Form and keyblade.

The teaser from Square Enix features the new Drive Form of Sora which is coined as the new Guard form. Additionally, fans were quick to notice that the setting is different from the previous versions, wherein Mt. Olympus can be seen in the background. With this, fans are getting hyped up that the sequel will have ancient Greece as its main setting.

Furthermore, the developers have also confirmed in a follow-up tweet that the new keyblade is actually a modified version of Hercules' shield.

Recent rumors hint that Baymax will make an appearance in "Kingdom Hearts 3," however, players are speculating that an evil version of Baymax will appear instead of the cute and cuddly one due to a teased "concept art" of the game.

Despite the seemingly heartless Baymax being portrayed, there are still no official updates from Square Enix and Disney about the rumors circulating in the web as indicated in a report by iDigitalTimes.

"Kingdom Hearts 3" is expected to be released next year for PlayStation 4 (PS4) consoles.
