'Kingdom Hearts 3' release date nears as trailer set to be revealed at E3

(Facebook / Kindgom Hearts)"Kingdom Hearts" is a game series that combines characters from Disney world and Final Fantasy.

"Kingdom Hearts 3" is long overdue, but fans continue to wait in anticipation of the time when Square Enix, the game developer behind the franchise, would finally reveal when the release date of the long-awaited video game would be.

So, while fans wait, rumors start to circulate, and the most common of which is that Square Enix might reveal details of the game during this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), from June 14 to 16, at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

While it remains unclear as to what the game developer is set to reveal at the expo (such as new features of the game), it did reveal that a new trailer for "Kingdom Hearts 3" will surely be showcased, at least according to reports

Reports also claim that the trailer will feature a new Disney World, with special participation from Disney characters from movies such as "Big Hero 6" and "Tangled."

For those unaware, Disney is involved in the development of the "Kingdom Hearts" franchise, thus its appearance in the trailer is not much of a surprise. But as to its relevance to the anticipated game, fans will have to wait until it is released to find out.

Meanwhile, in a report from Koalition, its sources say that while the trailer of the game will be revealed at the expo, the exact release date for the game will not be revealed until after the event. It also revealed that the game will be released in April 2017.

The "Kingdom Hearts 3" story is set to take off from where "Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance" took off, where Riku and Sora have completed the "Mark of Mastery" exams; focus will be on Sora, who failed to achieve the Keyblade master status.

The game, once launched, will be available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
