AMC's advertising drama set in the 1960s will return for its last stretch on 2015 and fans of the show are eager to find out an exact date of its release.

Mad Men, the show about the lives of top advertising agency executives in the 1960s has gained critical acclaim since its beginning. The season 7 of the show will return for its second half on 2105, though AMC has not released an official return date for the show. However, Matthew Weiner, the show's creator, did reveal in a past interview that the series is done.

Mad Men has been recently nominated for several awards in the Writers Guild of America, including best Drama Series and Individual Episode acclaims. The winners will be announced at the 2015 Writers Guild Awards ceremony on February 14, 2014 in simultaneous events in New York and Los Angeles.

To give fans an idea of what to expect once the show releases its final episode, Matthew Weiner talked to Esquire magazine and said that he is expecting mixed reactions from critics, both good and bad.

"The road has been paved for a mixed review, no matter what. I do what I've always done on the show and rely on the people around me," said Weiner to Esquire as reported by Latin Post.

Weiner went on to narrate the kind of pressure the production team and its cast experiences every season, and that they treat every 13th episode of each season as if it were the last for the series.

The lead star of the show, Jon Hamm, who plays creative director-genius and emotionally troubled Don Draper, talked to the Daily Beast and said that he will have a hard time bidding goodbye to the character that has placed his name in every American household.

"This has been the singular experience of my acting career, really. And it's coming to an end. So yes, it's going to be hard to say goodbye," said Hamm.
