'Madden 17' release date news: more attacking options, card moves and features on tackle battle

EA Sports' "Madden 17" is just days away from its official release. As such, its key details and significant updates have already been put out for its gamers' pleasure.

The imminent American Football game is slated to introduce various features on attacking and defending along with options on tackle battles and moves designed for cards.

In a tweet, EA Sports dubs "Madden 17" as "the most complete and authentic football experience we've ever delivered."  The company website adds, "New mechanics and authentic AI bring wow moments to the Ground game, while improved Zone Coverage balances out the passing game. Finally special teams are brought into the modern era giving you the ability to impact the game in a single play."

Moreover, a new ball carrier special moves will be introduced along with a new ball carrier path assist which is set to show where the player is heading into, fueling the game with much needed awareness and anticipation. The defense side will also launch the new "Gap Play" that will place defenders in a position to put the kibosh on the run game. 

On the other hand, the company stresses that the special teams will be treated more significantly in "Madden 17" due to modifications to PAT kicks and trick plays. The game will also be bringing the new kick meter with which the goal is to align the difficulty in the actual game. The new "ice the kicker" mechanic will likewise be brought upon to pile on the pressure.

All in all, EA Sports reiterates that in "Madden 17," they have been able to level up the three elements of the gameplay, namely offense, defense and special teams. 

"Madden 17" will be released on Aug. 23 and will be made available on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.
