'Mass Effect 4: Andromeda' release date pushed back to early 2017

(Mass Effect Official)BioWare confirms 'Mass Effect: Andromeda's' release will be in early 2017.

Gamers that are awaiting the reveal of "Mass Effect: Andromeda" in the upcoming E3 may be a bit disappointed because the game is reportedly delayed to early 2017.

Aaryn Flynn, general manager of BioWare, released a news update regarding the game.  In the last paragraph, he mentions that the game will ship early 2017, but gamers should not dispair because on June 12 at the EA Play press conference, the company could reveal some juicy details and a possible gameplay demo.

Some may speculate at this point that the purpose of the delay is to provide fixes or improvements in the game. Furthermore, some may even go as far as to add a VR functionality that may increase the depth of the gameplay experience of the player. However, Flyn assures gamers some points regarding the game. He mentions that the game will provide gamers with more freedom, which means players may play the game in different approaches. The game will also feature new planets and galaxies, which means more things to discover, generally making the lore of the game even bigger. The final point he mentions is that they are using a new game engine that may make this game one of a kind.

"'Mass Effect: Andromeda' will be the first 'Mass Effect' game for today's consoles and the first built on the Frostbite engine. We're pushing the technology to deliver visuals, story, and gameplay that have never been done in franchise history," the website shares.

Gamers and fans will now be looking forward to 2017, and this time around the expectation has truly increased; meanwhile, on the developers side, the pressure has intensified to make the delay worth the long wait. E3 may be the venue to appease fans of what the development team has achieved so far.
