'Mass Effect: Andromeda' release date, details: Game will run at 30 FPS for PS4, PS4 Pro

(Mass Effect official web site)'Mass Effect: Andromeda' is set to be released early next year

There are new details out with regards to the upcoming game "Mass Effect: Andromeda," which say that it will have the capability to run at 30 frames per second (FPS) for PlayStation 4 consoles.

The producer of the sequel, Fabrice Condominas, recently talked to Gamespot during the PlayStation Meeting where he shared that the video game will be able to run at 30 FPS for PlayStation 4 and the latest PlayStation 4 Pro. Even though the PS4 Pro is expected to provide a better performance than the current PS4 console, they will both produce the same FPS for the game.

Meanwhile, there are reports saying that two minor characters in "Mass Effect: Andromeda" still do not have voices and Bioware, the developer of the game, wants the fans to be the voice actors. What fans need to do is to record themselves via audio or video reading the script for the two characters. The scripts they will be using are already available. After that, they should send their performances to Bioware.

The characters that will be voiced are Jordan Tate and "Tough Mercenary." The description for Tate says that he is an intelligent and skilled indie documentarian who is always there to share what life in Andromeda is like. On the other hand, "Tough Mercenary" will be tasked to describe what it's like being one of the first people to live in a new world and the hardships involved in residing on the frontier.

The criteria which will be judged in the fans' entries are the quality of the voice performance and if it is well-suited to the style of "Mass Effect." The contest will end on Sept. 28 and it will be judged by a group of Bioware employees. The announcement of the winner will be done on or before Nov. 30. After the winner has been unveiled, he or she will be able to experience recording in Bioware's studios. Hotel accommodations for two nights will also be handled by the company.

There is no exact release date yet for "Mass Effect: Andromeda," but it is expected to be launched in early 2017. In addition, more announcements about the game are expected this November.
