Michael Schumacher latest news: Wife Corinna makes first public appearance at equestrian event

Corinna Schumacher, wife of F1 legend Michael Schumacher, made an appearance over the weekend at the World Equestrian Games in Caen, France.

Mrs. Sschumacher looked calm and peaceful as she mingled with onlookers during the second day of the global sporting event which happens every four years.

The Schumachers are known to be horse lovers, breeding their own horses in Switzerland and other countries, and with Corinna being a 'for-fun' equestrienne herself.

Corinna Schumacher was given the prestigious role of being the official ambassador of the event.

"It's easy to give support to something touching your heart, and animals have always touched mine," Mrs. Schumacher said, as reported by Daily Mail.

"Horses have therefore been part of my life, even if initially mainly for amateur-fun reasons," added the wife of the famous race car driver.

When members of the press asked the wife about the condition of Michael Schumacher, Corinna answered positively.

"It's getting better, slowly certainly, but in any case it's improving," positively said Schumacher said positively, according to German magazine Neue Post, answering inquiries about the health of the idolized driver.

Michael Schumacher was placed in an induced coma after a skiing accident in December 2013.

After being induced in a coma, the famous driver was transferred to a Swiss specialized medical facility for further observation.
