'Modern Family' season 7 updates: Show to return on Nov. 11; Haley and Andy have an awkward encounter at the movies in episode 6, 'The More You Ignore Me'

"Modern Family" fans will have to wait for a little while longer as their favorite show has taken a short, 2-week hiatus. Unfortunately, that also means that fans will be deprived of the show's vaunted Halloween episode. But when the show returns on air for its sixth episode on Nov. 11, some teenage drama will take center stage.
Halloween has always meant a special Halloween-episode for most shows and "Modern Family" is no exception, especially since one of the characters loves the holiday's scarier side. While it's unfortunate that the series has skipped that this year, it has left fans with a fun episode .
In episode five, "The Verdict," Gloria (Sofia Vergara) agreed to go on jury duty as part of her duties as an American citizen. While her enthusiasm for the job was not really appreciated by the job, it did make for some hilarious scenes.
When "Modern Family" comes back for episode six, Phil (Ty Burrell) and Claire (Julie Bowen) will have their hands full with their kids. Titled "The More You Ignore Me," the Dunphy's will be caught by surprise when their son, Luke (Nolan Gould), is apprehended for driving without a license. Meanwhile, their usually reliable and steady daughter, Alex (Ariel Winter), is caught coming out of a liquor store.
Cam (Eric Stonestreet) will be pushing Gloria (Sofia Vergara) to start selling her family's recipe for hot sauce. She also tries to channel her inner entrepreneur and come up with ways on how to start her hot sauce business.
The upcoming episode promises to be a treat for Haley (Sarah Hyland) and Andy (Adam Devine) shippers as well, as the two will have an awkward encounter at the movies. Fans will recall that at the start of the season, Haley was too late to stop Andy from proposing to Beth (Laura Ashley Samuels). This also led to her reuniting with Dylan (Reid Ewing).
It's safe to say that a majority of the show's fans are hoping that the series will start focusing more on Haley and Andy's love story and this episode might be a step in that direction.
"Modern Family" season seven will be back on air on Nov.11.
