News and rumors surrounding the recently released "Mortal Kombat X" has fans both excited and worried. While updates and developments for the game continue, there are some reports that indicate a delay in production.

"Mortal Kombat X", which was first released late April this year, is the tenth installment of the widely popular fighting game developed by NetherRealm Studios. The full game is currently available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows, while a mobile version has also been launched for download on both Android and iOS.

Since its release, all versions across platforms have received generally positive reviews, averaging 80/100 on aggregator sites like Metacritic. The game has also been instrumental in the rise of 5.3 percent in share value for GameStop and was ranked number one among NPD Group's games for the month of April.

The game's success has prompted its developer to continue providing its players with downloadable content, with the most exciting being the introduction of a classic character, Tanya. The DLC will be available for owners of the "Kombat Pack" on June 2, while others will have to wait until June 9 to purchase it.

Despite the exciting new addition to the game, there are rumors that the release of the "Mortal Kombat X" version for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 will be further delayed.

Reports have claimed that the game will be released for the two platforms by the end of this year. It is not yet confirmed if the new date is final or just a place holder for GameStop, as this marks the second delay for the release of the game's older version on these platforms.

Tanya DLC will be available for all players on June 9, 2015. However, there is still no confirmation about when the version for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 will be released.
