'Mortal Kombat X' DLC release date updates: Gamers hoping for big changes in SubZero and Tremor in upcoming 'Kombat Pack 3'

The just-concluded Evolution Championship Series (EVO) 2016 was a big bust as far as "Mortal Kombat X" fans were concerned as there was no mention of the game. But fans are still hoping that they will soon be seeing some changes to SubZero and Tremor when the upcoming downloadable content (DLC) "Kombat Pack 3" finally arrives.
A lot of gamers were apparently waiting for some announcement to be made regarding "Mortal Kombat X" at this year's EVO. They no doubt felt doubly disappointed when NetherRealm Studio's Ed Boon tweeted that they never planned for any "Mortal Kombat X" news to be revealed then. But he also said that "there is big MKXL news coming" so hopefully that would be enough to soothe any hurt feelings among their fans.
The seemingly lack of attention being given to "Mortal Kombat" is likely due to the studio focusing on "Injustice 2." Boon has admittedly been more open to sharing news about the studio's upcoming fighting game. He even recently teased which new characters will possibly appear and even revealed that a DLC is already being planned.
While no one knows what kind of news Boon has for "Mortal Kombat" fans, players are hoping that it will have something to do with the upcoming DLC, bringing major improvements to SubZero and Tremor.
The game designer had previously asked fans which character needed to be buffed up in the game. According to the results he posted on his Twitter account, 35 percent of respondents picked SubZero, while 31 percent opted to go with Tremor.
It has been said that the poll was to help NetherReam decide which characters would be improved for "Kombat Pack 3." Aside from the possibility that these fighters' abilities will be given a boost, gamers are also expecting that the studio will finally be including Fujin, Sindel, and Smoke in the DLC pack. The three characters were teased to arrive via the "Kombat Pack 2" DLC last March, but players got a different set of fighters instead.
