'Mortal Kombat X' Kombat Pack 3 release date, news: DLC to drop after 'Injustice 2?'

"Mortal Kombat X" fans are getting antsy. So far, NetherRealm has only released two DLCs to accompany the base game, and fans eagerly await the arrival of Kombat Pack 3. However, the developer has yet to make any sort of announcement regarding the rumored content.
NetherRealm has not given Kombat Pack 3 an official release date as of yet. Frankly, some fans are even unsure if there will ever be a third DLC. However, others remain positive and hopeful that Kombat Pack 3 will see the light of day.
Currently, speculations are rife that Kombat Pack 3 is definitely in the works, but it won't be arriving any time soon. The studio is apparently preoccupied with other projects on its plate, including "Injustice 2." It has been said that Kombat Pack 3 may hit the market after "Injustice 2" gets released. However, there may be a long way to go because the sequel to "Injustice" is pegged to drop in 2017.
But what will Kombat Pack 3 have in store for players?
First of all, like previous downloadable content, Kombat Pack 3 is expected to introduce new playable characters to the game. Rain, Fujin, and Baraka are a few of the characters that are believed to be arriving with the DLC. As previously reported, Smoke, Jade, Sindel, Li Mei, and Noob Saibot are also poised to make their debut.
In other news, "Mortal Kombat X" mobile game players were treated to a new character recently. The latest update came with the introduction of Jason Voorhees. For those who are unaware, Voorhees is an iconic character from the "Friday the 13th" franchise who dons a hockey mask and carries a machete as his signature weapon.
However, it should be noted that Voorhees will only be available for a fixed amount of time. Access to the character is also not easily granted, with many souls and a bit of luck required.
