The latest game in the Mortal Kombat series, "Mortal Kombat X," launched earlier this year and soon afterwards, an iconic villain in the form of Jason Voorhees was introduced. And now, game developer, NetherRealm Studios, has been teasing that the month of July will see Predator arrive in the game.

The arrival of Predator as a DLC has been rumored for several months now. Now that it is real, it has been announced that those who have purchased the Mortal Kombat X's Kombat Pack for the price of $29.99 will get access to the character. NetherRealm Studios even released a trailer revealing that the Predator would be making an appearance.

And last week, the Creative Director of the gam,e Ed Boon sent out a tweet indicating that the Predator would be arriving in July. He also stated that players will be able to recreate the entire "Predator" movie in the game.

The Predator is going to be the third character released as part of the Kombat Pack, which for all essential purposes, is a season's pass. Gamers first got to play as Jason Voorhees and then Tanya, when she was released afterwards.

With the introduction of Predator, Jax another character from the game is also set to get a new skin modeled on Carl Weathers, who played one of the characters in the film "Predator." Weathers will also be lending his voice to Jax, as he did when he played George Dillon in the film.

"Mortal Kombat X" just also recently received a new patch and brought with it a number of fixes to the gameplay including allowing players to exit a King of the Hill session while they are king, which would not go down as a loss. The patch and the recent fixes will help launch the upcoming Predator DLC which many expect will land in early July.
