If recent rumors are to be believed, it seems that the Los Angeles Lakers and the Chicago Bulls are currently in discussion to trade a few players in their rosters.

According to Sportsblog, Chicago Bulls point guard and basketball superstar, Derrick Rose may be traded to the Los Angeles Lakers. The source claims that Rose, who has been hounded by pervasive knee injuries, has also been experiencing personal issues with some of his Chicago Bulls teammates. Thus, the move to Los Angeles may be a welcome change for the basketball player and may kick start the revival of his career.

It is possible that for Rose, the Los Angeles Lakers would most likely give up Jordan Clarkson, Lou Williams and Nick Young. On the other hand, it seems that the Chicago Bulls is actually doing well without Rose. The Bulls are under the guidance of new coach Fred Hoidberg and they also have rising star, Jimmy Butler.

The Sportsblog also reported that the Los Angeles Lakers might be trading their forward, Brandon Bass, in exchange for Taj Gibson. It seems that the Lakers have always had an interest in Gibson but lacked the opportunity to seek him out until now.

According to the source, Bass may also be a welcome addition to the Chicago Bulls and would likely complement the skills of Pau Gasol. On the other hand, Gibson was reportedly unhappy with his role within the Bulls. Gibson's skills will be much appreciated by Kobe Bryant and may give the Lakers more second chance opportunities.

Please keep in mind that the trade rumors are still speculations at this point.

In other news, it is being reported that Rose is still not cleared for basketball activities after suffering a facial fracture during training camp. According to Hoiberg, the basketball star is still experiencing blurred vision. With his current condition, there is a chance that he will be missing the opening game between the Bulls and the Cavaliers.
