'NCIS: LA' season 8 spoilers: 'Densi' not ready for parenthood

There are no plans to introduce a "Densi" baby in the upcoming season of "NCIS: Los Angeles." Fans, however, can look forward to the moment Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) slips an engagement ring on Kensi's (Daniela Ruah) finger.

During the last installment, the couple decided to make their relationship official and live together. It was awkward for them at first, especially for Deeks since he could not seem to stand being in Kensi's cluttered bathroom. He even started showering in the office and when Kensi learned about it, she was livid. Their new living situation forced Kensi to consider other prospects, such as getting married and having a baby. She even started perusing books about motherhood. In one instance, Deeks saw her doing it and he could not help but freak out, thinking she was pregnant.

If there will be a little Deeks baby soon, some fans are thinking that the upcoming season may be the best time since Ruah is currently pregnant with her second child and the showrunners can just incorporate her character's pregnancy in the storyline. However, executive producer Scott Gemmill told TV Guide that they have no plans to do so. Instead, they are preparing for the big moment when Deeks proposes to Kensi. He said the pair is probably not yet ready for parenthood. They may not even want to give up their work.

"That's a real conversation that has to be had, and possibly more than once. I think it's one thing to say it now, but it's another thing as time goes on and situations change. Once they are officially engaged, then I think that conversation will come back again. And it's tricky, because neither one of them wants to give up their career, and can you have two parents in life-and-death situations on a daily basis? Is that proper parenting, or is that negligence in some way?" the EP shared.

Meanwhile, Ruah told the fans during the recently held MCM Comic Con in London that she did not think the "Densi" love story was getting anywhere. She said she was expecting that it would be a short fling only, until she read the script for the Christmas episode when Kensi and Deeks officially got back together. That was when she realized they were in for the long haul.

"NCIS: Los Angeles" season 8 is expected to return this fall on CBS.
