Following the emotional exit of Michael Weatherly's Anthony DiNozzo from "NCIS," fans are now watching every move that the show will make, especially with the entry of Wilmer Valderrama.

While many of the actor's fans rejoiced over the news of his arrival on the set of "NCIS" season fourteen, some were saddened at the thought of his character completely replacing DiNozzo.

The name of Valderrama's character has not yet been disclosed, but he will be a field agent who disappeared years back and has recently returned with secrets and an interesting personality that could potentially steal the spotlight from the other characters.

The Bitbag notes that Valderrama's character has the potential to entertain viewers since he will be one who loves to have fun. His mysterious past and disappearance is also a very interesting plot that the writers could play around with.

Executive producer Gary Glasberg said last month that Valderrama's acting skills will be thoroughly explored in "NCIS" season 14. According to Variety, the showrunner said, "Wilmer Valderrama will be able to flex his dramatic, physical and comedic talents in this classic 'NCIS' role. Fans are going to see him like they're never seen him before. This is going to be fun. We're thrilled he's coming aboard."

Meanwhile, there are rumors suggesting that there will no longer be a season sixteen for the hit show. Aside from Weatherly, Cote de Pablo, who played Ziva, has also left the show. HOF Mag says fans are starting to fear that if other cast members who've been in the series for a long time will also follow their co-stars' paths, a sixteenth installment may not happen anymore.

On the other hand, there are still a lot of fans who keep supporting the show despite the exit of their favorite stars. Globally, "NCIS" is still a hit and it won't hurt too much to hope for more seasons to come.
