'New Girl' season 5 spoilers: Reagan leaving Nick in episode 10; EP teases her comeback in the future; what happens to Jess/Nick?

(New Girl / Facebook)"New Girl" season 5

Jess (Zooey Deschanel) is back from jury duty and she will also be meeting the girl who locked lips with her ex, Reagan (Megan Fox).

Fox returns as guest star in this week's episode and according to series creator Liz Meriwether, Jess and Reagan will form a unique kind of relationship, instead of having the former get jealous of the latter and putting down each other.

"I didn't want to write a story with two women at each other's throats," Meriwether explained to TVLine. "So we went the other direction with it. We kept all of the drama inside [Nick's] head."

On Tuesday's episode, the synopsis mentioned that Fox's Reagan is preparing herself to move out of the loft and end things with Nick (Jake Johnson); but is it really the last appearance of Reagan?

According to executive producer Brett Baer, Fox is likely to come back as Reagan as there have been negotiations on this matter. She will be making an appearance in a different arc since she makes things interesting for Jess and Nick, as well as for the rest of the characters.

Given that Reagan has formed a strange bond with Jess and that Baer teased her possible return in future episodes, could it be possible that Reagan will be Jess and CeCe's (Hannah Simone) new bestfriend? It remains to be seen what plans the show has for Fox but episodes with her on it were very well-received.

With that said, what happens then to Jess and Nick's romance? A lot of fans start to worry that Jess and Nick might have ended things between them forever. However, Baer and Meriwether told Entertainment Weekly during the show's 100th episode party in Los Angeles last week that there's still hope for the couple.

"The door is not totally shut," Meriwether said. "No, it's never totally shut with those two, which is the fun of it," Baer chimed in.

Fans can now put their worries away when it comes to Jess–Nick romance. In the meantime, catch the new episode of "New Girl" on Tuesday at 8 p.m. EST on FOX.
