Nintendo NX release date news: Ubisoft's 'Just Dance 2017' to be out on NX

This year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) is currently in full swing. While Nintendo is keeping quiet about the NX, Ubisoft is teasing fans with a new game that's set to appear on Nintendo's upcoming console.
At Ubisoft's recent press briefing, the video game developer announced that its upcoming version of "Just Dance" is headed to the NX, Nintendo's mysterious console. "Just Dance 2017" is said to have around 40 tracks, with gamers expected to dance to popular tunes like Justin Bieber's "Sorry," Queen's "Don't Stop Me Now," Sia's "Cheap Thrills" and "Daddy" from Psy and 2NE1's CL. The game is also set to be released on the PS3, PS4, the Xbox One, Xbox 360, the Wii U and the PC.
Ubisoft's announcement certainly engendered some excitement from gamers interested in knowing more about Nintendo's newest console, particularly as the Japanese multinational company won't be showcasing or talking about the NX at E3. Instead, Nintendo will reportedly focus on showcasing games like "Legend of Zelda" Wii U and "Pokémon Sun and Moon."
Nintendo's decision not to showcase the NX has baffled some fans, but the rumored decline in the company's sales for the second straight financial year might be one reason why. After all, the NX might make or break the company so any amount of time the company can get to tweak and polish the console will undoubtedly be welcomed.
There have been conflicting reports surrounding the Nintendo NX. While some have praised the company's attempts to include virtual reality support for the upcoming console, others have posited that the NX won't be very good given its alleged backward-looking technology.
However, Nintendo's president, Tatsumi Kimishima, told Time that the NX will be a "different and obviously new experience." He also assured that they are "not building the next version of Wii or Wii U."
While gamers won't be getting a glimpse of the Nintendo NX at E3, there's a possibility that the console might make its debut at EGX 2016, the United Kingdom's biggest gaming event. The rumor that the NX will appear then is reportedly due to a survey conducted for the event that asked participants what consoles they would like to play, and the NX was said to be among the choices.
The Nintendo NX is expected to be released sometime in 2017.
