There is still no official release date for the huge procedurally generated game, "No Man's Sky" but more details about it were released during last month's E3 gaming conference.

During the demo, the game's creator, Sean Murray, displayed how players will be able to visit various planets on their way to the center of the universe. Murray took to the stage to show how the game will be played and even visited a random planet which he had never seen before.

He then demonstrated how the player will have to scan the planet to look for the location of the beacon, a device which he will use to upload data. As for the release date, Murray only stated that one would be provided soon.

"We will announce the release date soon," he said, "I promise." The website for the game lists it as "to be announced."

Despite the lack of information about when the game would launch, its premise continue to attract the attention of gamers and industry pundits, as unlike other games, it provides the opportunity to explore an entire universe. The universe in the game is unimaginably huge, consisting of over 18-quintillion planets.

Since its reveal more than two years ago by the developer, Hello Games, "No Man's Sky" has been adopted by Sony and taken on the aura of an in-house game even though it is still an indie offering.

Now with the game on track, which will soon be released for the PS4 and PC, more details about the game have been emerging. Details suggest that players will have a spaceship and weapon to use, as they harvest mineral deposits and materials from planets, which they could use for trading.

In addition, players will have to periodically upgrade their spacesuit and even ward of the Sentinels left by an ancient alien race to guard planets, as according to Murray, some of them are no longer functioning optimally.
