New York Comic Con 2014 guests, exclusive news: The Hobbit, Batman's 75th anniversary, Star Trek cast

Manhattan's Jacob J. Kavits Convention Center became host for more than 15,000 attendees for this year's New York Comic Con 2014 (NYCC 2014).

Attendees got to enjoy exclusive sneak previews of some of the biggest movies yet to come, including 'The Hobbit: Battle of Five Armies' which was made possible by the people behind fan site, theonering.net.

The cast of 'Star Trek: The Next Generation,' which aired from 1987 to 1994, attended NYCC 2014 and signed autograph for their faithful legion of fans that fill comic conventions every year.

Writer of children's thriller books, R.L. Stine, graced the event on Thursday, Oct. 9, with other authors to talk about "monsters in fiction." Stine later signed copies of his famous book series, 'Goosebumps,' for those who came to listen to the panel.

Jerry Springer, famous controversial talk show host, also attended the event on Oct. 12, signing autographs to fans. Springer's famous bodyguard, Steve Wilkos, was also in attendance to promote his own show.

The panel for Batman's 75th anniversary was also deemed a highlight, celebrating the 75th birthday of the Caped Crusader. Kevin Conroy, who's famous for voicing Batman in the series 'Batman: The Animated Series,' attended the panel, as well as DC's co-publisher and current writer for Batman, Scott Snyder.
