"Once Upon A Time" ended its fourth season on an unexpected note that saw Emma embracing her darkness instead of fighting it in order to prevent the town from being engulfed by it. With new characters in the mix, what will happen in season five?

Perhaps the two most interesting plot lines for season five are Merida's entry and Emma's Dark Swan transformation. At Comic-Con, the panel gave a glimpse into the chilling transformation by airing a video. A darker Emma rips out a person's heart and crushes it to dust, all the while enjoying it. The video certainly gives fans of the show goosebumps and is a hard pill to swallow.

TVGuide reports that Merida will play a major part in season five and speculation suggests that she will help Emma. Co-creator, Adam Horowitz, addressed the audience during the panel and said, "She becomes very much a part of the story as we pick up with Emma being the Dark One and Emma's family trying to help her not be the Dark One."

Moreover, actress, Amy Manson, who plays Merida on the show, has already shot a couple of episodes. The red-haired lass will also flaunt her archery skills. Apart from Merida's plotline, Camelot also plays a significant role in the upcoming season. Lancelot will also appear in season five along with King Arthur, Guinevere and Merlin. Camelot will be very important to Charming.

Meanwhile, TVLine reports that Regina's infertility may not pose a problem for long thanks to a potion and Merida will be heavily featured in the first couple of episodes. Jennifer Morrison spoke about Emma's darkness saying "She's going to face the darkness in herself...instead of repressing it."

Sean Maguire confirmed that his character, Robin Hood, has only one true love who is Regina. "Once Upon A Time" premieres this fall on Sept. 27, 2015 on ABC.
