Shueisha is expected to publish the chapter 853 of its long-running manga series "One Piece" very soon and fans are eager to find out how the story unfolds. In the chapter, Vinsmoke Sanji 's mother will sacrifice herself in order to prevent her sons from becoming more evil and emotionless.

Despite reports that the chapter will not be released as scheduled, fans are still excited to know whether Monkey D. "Straw Hat" Luffy and Sanji will finally reunite and save the Vinsmoke family from the group of the Big Mom Pirates.

A report in MangaFarm presents several possible events in the upcoming chapter, including the key role to be played by Caesar in assisting Sanji's siblings to completely eliminate their superhuman capabilities, the death of an admired character, and the revelation of Sanji's real mother.

The article also recapped several events in the 852th chapter, including the fast recovery of Vinsmoke Reiju that allows her to attend the Tea Party, the release of Luffy and Nami from their prisons along with other prisoners, and the rebellion by blue whale shark fishman Jinbe against the Big Mom Pirates. The chapter also revealed the identity of the late matriarch of the Vinsmoke family.

In his series update in December 2016, "One Piece" writer Eiichiro Oda wrote in the promotional newspaper Dai One Piece Shinbun that the series is already around 65 percent complete and is expected to end in the near future despite its popularity. Fans, therefore, are already anticipating when the series will end. The promotional newspaper, however, insinuated that some major surprises for the manga are expected in 2017.

Also, judging from Oda's announcement and the pace at which his team works, the manga series is expected to still run for 10 years or more, and fans could still expect about 300 chapters of the adventures of Luffy and his crew of Straw Hat Pirates as he pursues his ambition to become Pirate King.
