'One Punch Man' season 2 release news, rumors: Saitama to face stronger enemies

(Madhouse)"One Punch Man" season 2 will have Saitama face stronger enemies.

The second season of "One Punch Man" has no official release date yet, but there have been numerous reports and speculations that fans can look forward to next season.

There are rumors that Saitama, the strongest hero who can defeat the villains with a single punch only, will probably have more enemies to fight in the upcoming season. These enemies could even be as strong, if not stronger, as Saitama. Even though he is known in the manga as the world's strongest, there might be interesting twists and turns in the plot that could take that title away from him.

The rumor mill also speculates that a villain named Gorau will be one of the enemies Saitama might face. This villain is rumored to destroy the Hero Association by killing all of the heroes. He was also once a student of the S-Class Hero Silver Fang, who uses the "Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist" in martial arts.

Saitama might also fight against a Class A Rank 1 hero Amai Mask from the Hero Association. This mysterious opponent might have something up his sleeves that could defeat the strongest hero.

Another possible battle is between Saitama and his trusted follower Genos, who has sided the opposition in the destructive civil war.

Other reports also suggest that the second season might follow the sudden competition between the Hero Hunters and Hero Association. The Hunters is expected to challenge the dominance of the Association by competing in recruiting the S-Class power potentials. Genos also criticized the alleged corruption within the Association that could cause tension between the two organizations.

However, there are suggestions that the upcoming season will focus on the detailed origins of Saitama, back at the time when he still had hair.

The team behind the anime is reportedly working on "One Punch Man" season 2.
